Field Day Letter To Parents

Field Day
Parents,
Field Day will be next Thursday May 28th.
Erin Jones will be setting up a sign up on Genius for volunteers to assist me next week.
Here are a few reminders that I like to send out every year to help Field Day run as safe and smooth as
possible.


Have your children bring filled water bottles. (We will have a water refill station)
Make sure they have their name on the water bottle so that we can identify it if they lose it.
If your children suffer from bad allergies and can’t be outside after a certain amount of time,
please inform their classroom teacher before Field Day.
Have them dress appropriately for running and playing in outside weather. Hats are strongly
suggested! (Avoid flip flops if possible)
And most important…SUNSCREEN!!! Please make sure you apply it before Field Day starts. If
you give it to them to bring in and reapply it that is fine; however, teachers are NOT allowed to
apply sunscreen on their students, so make sure they are aware of this.
The Kona Ice truck will also be at our Field Day this year. The cost of a snow ball is $1, and we ask that
you send them with the money the day of Field Day.
Some of the primary teachers told me they want to collect the money from their class instead of having
them handle it the day of. If your child’s teacher sends something home with them informing you that
it’s ok for you to send money in early, then that works just fine. Otherwise, have them bring it the day of.
If there are any questions, please feel free to Email me.
Thanks so much for all of your help!
