Semester Vorstand der SHSG 2014/2015 | The Students’ Union’s Directorate 1. Erläutere kurz dein daily business: 1. Briefly explain your day to day business: Als Vorstand Finanz bin ich für die finanzielle Führung der Studentenschaft ver-‐‑ antwortlich. Neben der Budgetierung, der Debitoren-‐‑/Kreditorenbuchhaltung und der Vorbereitung der Jahresrechnung zuhanden des Studentenparlaments begleite ich Vorstandsprojekte aktiv und stehe Initiativen und Teams der SHSG beratend zur Seite. Zudem bin ich für die Koordination und Führung der Teams in den Bereichen Jahrgangspartnerschaften, Sponsoring und Erstsemesterpackage zuständig. Ein weiterer Teil meiner Arbeit ist die Verhandlungsführung und Vertretung der SHSG mit Jahrgangspartnern. Als Vorstandsmitglied gestalte ich auch ressortübergreifende Projekte im Vorstand. As board member for Finance I am responsible for the financial aspects of the Stu-‐‑ dent’s Union. Alongside budget management, accounting and preparing the annual financial report for the Student Parliament, I actively accompany board projects and support SHSG initiatives and teams. Furthermore, I am responsible for coordinating and leading the areas “Year group partnerships”, sponsoring and “Fresher’s pack-‐‑ age”. Another aspect of my job is to represent SHSG and lead the negotiations with year group partners. As a board member of SHSG, I also help shape interagency projects within the board. 2. Welches war für dich die lehrreichste Erfahrung in deinem Amtsjahr? Der Einsitz in verschiedene Gremien und die damit verbundene Arbeit mit verschie-‐‑ denen Teams hat mir zu völlig neuen Perspektiven verholfen. Ausserdem muss man immer damit rechnen, dass etwas nicht so läuft wie geplant. Hier gilt es sofort um-‐‑ zudenken und entsprechend zu handeln. 3. Wie hast du Vorstandsamt, Studium, Job und Freizeit unter einen Hut gebracht? Es war sehr herausfordernd und ich musste lernen, Prioritäten richtig zu setzen damit auch die Freizeit als Ausgleich nicht zu kurz kommt. Ich habe einen Grossteil meiner Zeit dem Vorstandsamt gewidmet, dank der tollen Teamarbeit und immer neuen spannenden Projekten, habe ich das vergangene Jahr als sehr erlebnisreich empfunden. 4. Welche Kompetenzen muss dein/e Nachfolger/in mitbringen? Nachhaltiges Denken und organisatorische Fähigkeiten, sowie die Fähigkeit, sich und andere Teammitglieder für die anstehenden Projekte zu begeistern. 5. Dein abschliessendes Statement? Das Vorstandsamt bietet jedem, der sich engagieren möchte die Möglichkeit, Einbli-‐‑ cke in die finanzielle Führung zu erhalten, seine Meinung einzubringen und bei Projekten mitzuarbeiten und damit auch wirklich etwas an der Universität zu bewe-‐‑ gen. The seat in various committees and the work associated with various teams helped me to achieve completely new perspectives. In addition, there is always the high possibility that something does not work out as planned. Here the development of skills to rethink and to act accordingly can be experiences. 3. How did you fit board membership, study, work and play under one roof? It was very challenging, and I had to learn to prioritize properly so that I could properly work in moments of leisure. I have devoted much of my time to the board of the Student Union, and thanks to the great teamwork and continuous new and exciting projects, I have found the last year to be very eventful. 4. What skills must your successor bring to the table? Along with sustainable thinking and organizational skills, also important is the ability to inspire other team members for the upcoming projects. 5. Your final statement? My position allows anyone the opportunity to gain an insight into financial management. Also, it permits the contribution of opinions and participation in projects to thus make a difference at the university.
