SEMINAR CONTENTS
CRISC™ (Certified in Risk and Information Systems
Control) exam preparation seminar is intended for
professionals who deal with risk management
related to information technologies (IT). We are
faced with the challenge of risk management in most
different periods of IT life cycle, when we wish and
have to protect IT assets. Such assets include:
–
–
–
–
information,
applications,
IT infrastructure and
people.
CRISC is therefore needed by:
–
–
–
–
–
–
IT professionals,
risk management professionals,
business analysts,
project managers,
compliance professionals, and
other business professionals.
CRISC provides a leading framework for risk
management by focusing on the following 4 domains:
–
–
–
–
risk identification,
risk assessment,
risk response and mitigation,
risk and control monitoring and reporting
These are the new 4 CRISC domains, which were
changed and updated this year. The major change to
the CRISC job practice is the combining of IT risk and
control tasks within the domains. The knowledge
about the domains will be tested for the first time on
the June 2015 CRISC exam. The new CRISC exam will
contain 150 questions testing the new job practice.
CRISC provides organisations with professionals who
are able to understand business risks and have
technical knowledge to implement appropriate
information security controls possible.
CRISC is complementary to CGEIT, CISA and CISM
awarded by the ISACA international organisation.
Extensive research has proven that CRISC professionals are strongly desired and eagerly sought, since
we live in the post-modern period where the concept
of risk has replaced the concept of progression.
The exam is organised by ISACA®. The next one will
be on 13 June 2015, also in Ljubljana, final registration deadline is 10 April 2015. For all details and the
registration form see the ISACA website.
In the course of the training a multiple choice questionnaire test will be carried out, same as at the exam.
The revised ISACA study material will be used at the
seminar. Participants who intend to register for the
exam in June are recommended to acquire and study
the CRISC Review Manual 2015. At a price of $ 115
(for ISACA members $ 85) the Manual is available at
the ISACA Bookstore. The Manual is completely
renewed due to the changed CRISC domains.
Materials
Participants will get handouts and a mock exam with
answer key.
