Wireless control of lighting, and Internet of Things (IoT) in general, have opened new ways to optimize
and tailor light in our environment. This includes simple control, such as switch on and off based on time
or room occupancy, but also more complex control of the light properties as a function of direct or indirect
user input. The Embedded Linux Developer will implement the connection between software input and
hardware output. Your key responsibilities are:
• Design and implement the software on a control hub or bridge according to different standards.
• Be the Linux expert and build robust embedded solutions.
• Take active part in the design of the complete product solution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware developers to test product functionality and attain
product certification.
• Manage software and product development projects according to best practices.
The skills and abilities we believe will make you a great fit are:
• An engineering degree and/or professional experience in programming and software/firmware
design.
• Highly experienced working at the kernel and driver level of Linux.
• Strong skills in C/C++ or Objective C development in an embedded environment.
• Strong skills with TCP/IP, HTTP and routing.
• Experience with Zigbee, Bluetooth or other communication protocols are valuable.
• Ready to grow with a startup and take a lead on building a platform from scratch.
• Creative problem solving, quality awareness and driven to have an impact on Nanoleaf.
