Greetings Everyone, Saturday, April 25th is the date of the Red Wagon Luncheon this year. It’s our 25th Luncheon and some of us still remember working on the first one. No change in location and no change in cost! The luncheon continues to be the major fundraising activity of our Chapter. Every member can and should be a part of its success. There are many opportunities to participate and everyone’s participation is key to the event’s success. Contact your friends about the date and have them mark their calendars. Save the date cards will be available at the meetings for you to pass on to your friends. Let’s have a record attendance year! It’s time for EVERYONE, Provisional, Active or Sustaining members, to start gathering items for the auction, soliciting ads for the program, thinking about people to invite and pretty much making the Luncheon a high priority item. Forms for gifts and program ads will be attached to the next few issues of the newsletter. Gift items can be brought to the January, February and March meetings or directly to Karen Blaha. Please remember to use the gift forms for ALL the items you bring in. You may list multiple items from one donor on the same form. Our wonderful Basement Group assembles the GIFT BASKETS. Box 1133 – Chardon, OH 44024 Red Wagon Luncheon April 25, 2015 , State Zip Dear Friend:MM, The National Christ Child Society, and its affiliate Geauga County Chapter, is a volunteer service organization of 40 chapters that has been in existence since 1887 when our founder, Servant of God, Mary Virginia Merrick, professed, “Nothing is ever too much to do for a child”. Since 1978, the Geauga County Chapter has responded to the needs of the disadvantaged, especially children, in our county. We would like to ask you to consider a donation to our organization by placing an ad in our 25 th annual Red Wagon Luncheon Program. The luncheon is our leading fund-raising event and last year generous donations from the business community helped to insure the success of our event and the continuation of our service projects. Proceeds from this luncheon have enabled our organization to continue to be a viable service organization helping the children of Geauga County. Your gift is tax deductible and provides excellent exposure in our event program. Many of our over 300 attendees make an effort to patronize the businesses listed in the program. Your business card or a current ad would be all that you would need to provide for the ad layout. Please return the reply form with your donation in the enclosed envelope by April 10th. We can answer any questions you might have by calling Judy Stone at 440-632-5116. Thank you in advance for your support of The Christ Child Society of Geauga County.
