2015 Annual Report - Northside Baptist Church

The
Annual
Report
2014
“Oh give thanks to the Lord,
for he is good, for his
steadfast love endures
forever!”
–Psalm 107:1
2014 was another remarkable year at Northside Baptist
Church. You will see, in the pages that follow, how God has
blessed this ministry and remained faithful to our
congregation.
Most excitedly, we launched a brand new worship service on
January 5th, 2014. As part of our mission to Open the Word to
Our World “In a Whole New Way” we launched our Sunday
Evening Worship Service. Sunday Evening Worship changed
the ministry at Northside to create a way for more people to
participate in worship. We have seen many new faces and had
several share with us how great it is to have an opportunity to
worship that fits their life/schedule.
With much praise, we held our first Celebration of Baptism
service on November 9th. Twelve were added to our fellowship
that day alone! What a blessing it was to hear the testimony
before each individual was baptized. We do plan to continue
to celebrate the baptism of new believers in this way this year
and in the coming years.
Northside was also grateful to ordain Cory Scoles, our
Children’s Minister, to the Gospel Ministry in July of 2014.
Also, in the Children’s Ministry, we celebrated 10 decisions
during our annual Vacation Bible School week!
Several mission projects took place throughout 2014. They
included work in Jamaica, Africa, South Dakota, and Arkansas,
as well as the local missions including The Way of Hope and
Bike Tenn to raise funds for the End Slavery movement of
Tennessee.
Another highlight from 2014 is the completion of much
needed renovations in the children’s wing.
In closing, we would like to update you on Blackman Baptist
Church, which began as a church plant of Northside.
Blackman Baptist Constituted as a church in 2014 and are
currently meeting at the YMCA. They continue to grow
together as a body and in numbers. We would like to ask that
you continue to pray for Pastor Kevin and Blackman Baptist’s
ministry as they expand in the community.
Our Annual Report is always an opportunity to reflect on the
previous year. As we look back on 2014, we cannot help but
praise God for all that He has done in this ministry. We are
also looking forward to what He has in store for us in 2015.
