BIOMETRICS – Nepal
On 23 March 2015, Australia will introduce a new visa application procedure for visa
applicants who are residing in Nepal.
All persons residing in Nepal, regardless of nationality, lodging an application for an
Australian visa will need to attend the Australian Visa Application Centre in
Kathmandu to provide their biometrics (fingerprints and a digital facial photograph) as
part of the visa application process.

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has a Service Delivery Partner
arrangement with VFS Global in Kathmandu, Nepal to provide Australian visa lodgement
and biometric services.

IMPORTANT: To avoid any delay in the processing of your visa application, you can lodge
