Middle School football training for current 6th and 7th grade students is postponed this week. The parent meeting scheduled for Monday, May 18 – is also postponed. Our school store will be having a 50% OFF everything sale (EXCEPT CLOTHING) next week – all week – May 18-28 non-clothing items will be 50% off the original price. Attention all LMMS students. We are about to beginning our Hoops for Heart event to raise money for the American Heart Association. Heart disease is the number one killer in America and Stroke is the 4th leading cause for disability. This event raises money for the American Heart Association so they can do further research and for educational purposes. The person donating the most money will receive a special prize. This year’s event will begin TODAY, May 12th with the 6th grade doing a round robin tournament and a foul shooting contest. The 7th and 8th grade 3 VS 3 contest will be held on the following dates: MAY the 12th & 15th & 19th is 6th grade MAY the 13th & 15 is & 18th 7th grade MAY the 14th & 18th & 19th is 8th grade All games are during 9th period in the gymnasium. To participate fill out the 3 Vs 3 sheet & hand $10.00 and your team name with a list of the players and their homeroom to Mrs. Webb by April 11th. Anyone can participate you can also help to support the American Heart Association by picking up an envelope in the office, library, or from Mrs. Webb. Donations envelopes must be in by May 20th. Check out the display case near the gym or see Mrs. Webb to answer any questions. Don't Forget. Crayon Recycling Club starts today (Tuesday) in room 414 with Mrs. Thomas. Be sure to arrange for transportation home. There will be open gym for all current 6th and 7th grade boys interested in playing basketball for next year. These open gyms will be held: TOMORROW, Wednesday, May 13th - 2:45pm-4:00pm Tuesday, May 19th - 2:45pm-4:00pm. Urgent! Attention all Builders Club members! Please attend our next meeting is today, Tuesday, May 12. We only have a couple of meetings left, and the tickets to see the Iron Pigs are going fast! The Green Hornet Youth Football camp with Emmaus Head Coach Randy Cuthbert is being held June 22 –June 25 at Emmaus House School. This camp, designed for players who want to develop basic skills, learn the game and have fun; is open to boys entering grades 3-8 in the fall. Flyers are available in the main office. GO HORNETS! This is week 2 for Speech Classes. Do you like to run? Come join the fun for six Saturdays this Spring and Summer at the Lehigh Valley Road Runners Club House on the Parkway for the 2015 Kids Running Series of races! Check-in starts at 8:30am each Saturday, and races start at 9:45. The first race is May 16. See Mr. Boyer in the Guidance Office for a registration form or with any questions. Fall sports sign-ups for prospective middle school athletes will be held in the Eyer Middle School Cafeteria on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Free fall sports physicals will be offered to all prospective athletes on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Emmaus High School Cafeteria from 8:00am to 11:00am. Please note that physicals will end promptly at 11:00am. PLEASE NOTE: This sign up date is for current 6th and 7th grade students who are interested in playing a middle school sport next fall and for current 8th grade students who are interested in playing a high school sport next fall.
