Camp Descriptions:
Lego® We Do Robotics (ages 6+): Build creations that move. Lego® bricks with
motion sensors are powered by the computer!
Lego® Super We Do Robotics (ages 8+ ): Super We Do™ Robotics combines We
Do Lego® with the Video Game Animation program, Scratch. Build it...program
it...then watch your creation move on the computer screen.
Lego® Movie-Making – Minecraft, Harry Potter, and Star Wars (ages 7+):
Explore stop-animation movie making with Lego® bricks. Students are the
writers, directors and special effects creators!
Lego® Spybots (ages 6+): Build remote control cars with Lego® bricks, then go
on missions and master obstacle courses.
Video Game Design (ages 8+): Learn how to design, create and edit an arcadestyle video game.
Lego® Cars, Catapults & Bridges (ages 6+): Fundamentals of engineering using
Lego Technic sets. #1 with kids across the country.
Minecraft EDU Beginning (ages 6-8): Students that have not played Minecraft
before will be introduced to Desert Island Survival and learn the basics of the
game (building, crafting, animal taming, and more). Students will play in a secure
world controlled by the teacher.
Minecraft EDU Intermediate ( ages 8+): Students will follow a progressive story
of survival, gaining more creative freedom as they learn tools of Minecraft. They
will work towards a common goal of solving the mystery of the island.
Minecraft EDU Advanced (ages 8+): Learn how to code and program using the
Minecraft Computer Craft Mode to put these robots to work.
Lego® Motion Creature Movers (ages 8+): Let your imaginations run wild
building and rebuilding fantastical creations that spin, climb, and more!
Lego® Robotics Discovery Mindstorm (ages 8+): Come discover robotics and
basics to engineering with a new and innovative set. Using the Scout’s hands-on
command center, create over 3000 different behaviors-all at the touch of a
button.
Crazy Talk (ages 9+): Students are introduced to the concept of facial animation
using models and techniques to generate movement of a head and face to
simulate actual human movement.
CSI Hollywood Heist (ages 7+): Use logic, your senses and forensic science to
solve crimes. Learn how to work the field scene and the laboratory end of CSI.
We’ll use finger printing, tire tread patterns and much more! Each lesson will
focus on a new forensic skill which will lead to solve a final investigation. No
blood, no gore. . .but excitement galore!
Electronic Snap Circuits (ages 6+): Learn about electronics; explore short, series,
parallel, oscillator, audio, and many other circuits, and even build a working
radio!
