H2O Mop X5 5 in 1 Steam Cleaning System FAQ’s
Can I use my H2O Mop X5 on all floor surfaces?
The H2O Mop X5 is designed to thoroughly clean floor surfaces, such as marble,
ceramic, carpet, stone, linoleum, sealed hardwood floors and parquet. Not all
floor types are suitable for steam cleaning.
The heat and steam action may remove the wax on surfaces treated with wax.
Do not use on unsealed flooring or let stand on any wood or het sensitive floor for
an extended period of time.
When using on vinyl, linoleum or any other heat sensitive floors, use extra caution.
We recommend you test the H2O X5 on a small isolated area of your flooring
prior to overall use on any floor surface. You should also check the use and
care instructions of your flooring manufacturer
Now that I have assembled my unit, why am I not getting any steam?
If the unit is not steaming and the light indicator has gone from red to green,
make sure that the On/Off switch has been pushed into the “on” position or the
unit will not begin to steam.
Once the unit is assembled, fill the water tank and ensure the cap is in a “locked
position”
How do I know which variable steam setting to use?
1-Low and 2-Medium Setting: are ideal for cleaning all hard floors, such as linoleum,
ceramic, marble, wood, etc.
3-High Setting: is ideal for cleaning carpets and rugs
4-Hot Spray Setting: is ideal for cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, windowsills, car
wheels, etc.
*Note:
The fourth setting is the Hot Spray setting. On this setting the unit may spit out water, this is normal
See figure # 1 below for further explanation.

My H20 X5 Mop is producing steam more slowly than usual or stopped producing
steam. What can I do?
Lime scale can develop over time on the metal parts and greatly affect mop
performance.
It is necessary to remove lime scale on a regular basis, every 25 – 50 times you
use a full tank of water or at least once a month, especially in areas with hard
water
To decalcify the Water Tank interior follow the simple procedures in the manual
for full instructions.
How can I prevent my H2O Mop X5 from leaving puddles of water?
To avoid streaks and puddles select low steam regulator position for minimal
steam. “Puddling” may also result from the variable steam setting being pushed
too high. Please reference Figure #1 above to know which setting is correct. To
avoid “streaking ” of water, the Microfiber Cloth must be clean and dry for use.
To replace the cleaning cloth, proceed as follows: Let the cleaning cloth cool
down, remove cloth from unit, replace with a new Microfiber Cloth and continue
use
Why is my handle flexing?
If the micro fiber cloth becomes over saturated with water, it may cause the
handle to flex. If this occurs, please change your mop head cloth.
How do I wash the H2O Mop X5 microfiber pads/cloths?
Microfiber cloths are machine washable - 60 ºC (140 ºF)
Do not bleach
Do not use softener
What are the small brushes used for?
The round nylon brush is great for cleaning smooth hard surfaces, such as toilets, sinks,
and kitchen counters. The round copper brush is great for cleaning coarse or metal
surfaces, such as brick floors, car wheels, metal doors and metal frames, etc.
Both brushes can also effectively clean the grease on pans, stoves and ovens in the
kitchen. They can be used with soap or detergent to clean dirty areas.
*Note: When using the attachments, make sure that they have been put into place
securely and locked in
What type of water do I use?
The H2O Mop X5 uses regular tap water. However, in areas with hard water, distilled
water should be used for better performance.
