The possibilities are as diverse as our students’ backgrounds. From the moment you wake, your experience is what you make of it both on campus and in the local community. There are so many places to eat, learn, relax, work, shop, exercise, contemplate or simply hang out with new friends. The student lounge in the art departemnt is an exceptionally great place to spend time where you can learn from your fellow peers and view student work. Keep in mind that every day is your own creation, why not make the best of it? Take the time to expand your horizons and try something new; meet people from different backgrounds. Connect with students in other disciplines. Learn a new dance. Or catch a home game and get into the Bronco Spirit. Cal Poly Pomona is undergoing an evolution—both structurally and culturally—from a commuter campus to a 24/7 community with a vibrant residential student population. There’s no better way to enjoy your college experience than living on campus. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to build friendships and immerse yourself in our diverse campus culture. You’ll have quick access to your professors, the library, computer labs, dining halls and recreational facilities. You won’t have to deal with commuting and parking, which means more time for all the other pursuits that make college fulfilling and fun. 13 Student Life On Campus 12 Student Gallery 16 ART department requirements Art Department Requirements 8 ART Department Art Majors and Degrees The Art Department offers two majors, (1) Art, leading to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and (2) Graphic Design, leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree.
