East Rutherford, NJ – April 8, 2015 – The countdown has begun to hot summer days and the longawaited State Fair Meadowlands. This year’s fair starts in just 10 weeks, running every day from June 19
through July 5 at the State Fair Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
State Fair Meadowlands, the largest fair in the New York area with over 150 rides and attractions, will
feature electrifying entertainment, over 50 white-knuckle rides and the largest Kiddieland in New Jersey,
with plenty of rides to please every child. New this year: The spectacular Lipizzaner Stallions Show.
Adults and children alike will love these majestic horses that prance and perform with their elegant
trainers. And, the Open-Air Circus will feature new, breathtaking performances. Don’t miss these circus
daredevils as they perform death-defying feats on the high wire, sway pole, wheel of death and more.
“At State Fair, we’re happy to see the warm weather rolling in because it reminds us that exciting
summer fun at the Fair is right around the corner. Families will love our newest attractions, included in
the price of entry ticket, as well as delicious food from around the country,” said Al Dorso, president of
State Fair Meadowlands. “We’re committed to providing families with affordable fun that’s close to
home. Don’t miss opening Dollar Night, and other bargain days we’ll be announcing over the next
several weeks.”
In addition to the Lipizzaner Stallions, the fair will be bringing back the hilarious Racing Pigs, the
educational Petting Zoo, exciting concerts and Master Hypnotist Steve Bayner. Fairgoers can also
celebrate New Jersey pride at the NJ Hall of Fame Mobile Museum, which contains educational exhibits
about famous New Jerseyans who have been inducted in the state Hall of Fame. Fairgoers also won’t
want to miss world-class fireworks shows on July 3 and 4.
A family favorite – the Sky Ride – is back this year, providing sky-high views of the fair, from one end of
the midway to the other, with fabulous views of New York City. For Batman fans, the Batcopter will be
back, providing rides with panoramic views of the fair in the original helicopter from the 1966 TV series.
Delicious food vendors from around the country will return to offer Italian, Greek, Mexican, and
American foods for the whole family. Fairgoers will be delighted with classic ‘Fair Fare’ such as corn
dogs, funnel cakes, blooming onions, candied applies, curly fries, deep-fried Oreos, ice cream, and of
course, cotton candy. Back by popular demand will be tasty gator kebabs, turkey legs, grilled corn on the
cob and much more.
