Jarrod Plummer has been the head coach of Snead
State Community College’s women’s basketball
program since 2008. Prior to coaching at Snead,
Plummer gained experienced in managing and coaching
at Morehead State University and Greenup County High
School, both in Kentucky.

Coach Bobby Jackson was an NFL Football Assistant
Coach for 21 years. He coached five Pro Bowl Running
Backs and one NFL Hall of Fame Player - Marshall Faulk.
He has coached on the college level at Florida State,
Kansas State, Louisville and Tennessee. He played for
Hall of Fame Coach Bobby Bowden at South Georgia
College and then followed Coach Bowden to Howard
College (today - Samford University) and played for him
there. He earned his graduate degree in Physical
Education from Peabody College (now a part of
Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

Steve Machen is a certified USPTA Tennis Pro and is the
former head coach for the Snead State Tennis Team in
Boaz, AL. He led them to Nationals three years in a row.

Jimmy Mitchell is in his third season as the women’s
head soccer coach at UAH, and he has over 20 years of
championship-winning coaching experience. Prior to
arriving in Huntsville, Mitchell spent the previous 13
seasons at Division I member Northwestern State in
Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Area Middle & High School
Randy Putman is and has been the Head Baseball Coach
at Wallace State in Hanceville, AL for 23 years. His teams
have appeared in the ACCC World Series six times and
they have won six Southeast Regional Championships.
He has a .715 overall winning percentage. Coach has
three former players playing in the Major League: Craig
Kimbrel (Atlanta Braves), Derek Holland (Texas Rangers)
and Graham Godfrey (Oakland Athletics). He has had 41
former players drafted in to the professional baseball
league. He also played professional baseball for six
years with the Kansas City Royals and the San Diego
Padres.

Frank Hicks is a Shihan (Master) rank in U.S. Yoshukaki
Karate and the Instructor of Yoshukaki Karate in
Albertville, AL.

Coach Twyla Haggermaker is the assistant softball coach
at Snead State Community College in Boaz, AL.

School Coaches
Erica Ball is a cheer coach at Cullman High School. In
2014, Nix’s squad won the UCA Regionals and AHSAA
6A State Championship, leading to their invitation to the
2015 Universal Cheerleading Association’s National
Championship.

MORNING FORMAT: Choose ONE sport for the week for Sports Instruction.
FAMILY NIGHT (FREE DINNER): FRIDAY NIGHT at 6:00pm featuring special
guests Melvin Adams and Devin Wyman.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
A notice of camper cancellation/request for refund must be sent in writing in order to be valid for a refund. There will
be a $30.00 administration fee for all cancellations with the remaining balance being refunded.
PLAYING FACILITIES:
Heritage Park and East Elementary will serve as the main playing facility.

Space is limited for each sport!!! To verify availability for late registration or if you have any questions, please call

FOOD:
Campers will be provided lunch every day. They will also be supplied with unlimited water and a sports drink. (*We
will the have lunch menu available each day on our website, but your child can bring their own lunches too.)
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Players are required to bring their own equipment (bats, gloves, clubs, racquet). Please put your child’s name on
all items. Each camper must provide his own shoes, socks, shorts and t-shirts.
Any serious violation of camp rules or regulations could result in immediate dismissal from camp. There will
be no refund in this situation.
A professional trainer/doctor/nurse is on duty at all times. Doctors are on call 24 hours a day. Because of the
rigorous schedule, each camper should come to camp in good physical condition.
Due to the number of campers and planned schedules, personal phone calls are not allowed, except in the case of
an emergency. In the case of an emergency, you may call 256-200-0563.
