Ravenworth Kleos 3Y
River Hill 12X Zaar 7Z has really out done himself with his
first calf crop here at Ravenworth. We showed and sold
a few of his heifer calves last fall and they were very well
received. One of his daughters was the high selling heifer at
the Western Elite sale for $8,250 to Colgan’s Cattle Co. Corp
Lashburn, SK and another was the high selling heifer at the
Agribition Speckle Park Sale for $13,250 to Wayne and Linda
Meakin, Sturgeon County, AB. In our show string last fall,
our cow/calf pair was the Champion Speckle Park Female
at Lloydminster Stockade and top four interbreed finalist,
as well as, Champion Speckle Park Female at Agribition, in
the pair the heifer calf at side was sired by Zaar 7Z. We are
very pleased with how this bull is working on our females.
There are two of his heifers in the sale as well, we now have
a few sons on offer in the Supreme sale and they have many
of their father’s traits – wide top, square hip and deep side.
The combination of Zaar calves with a Kleos daughter was
our group chosen at Agribition for Breeders herd.
Ravenworth Kleos 3Y has been one of our favorite made
bulls right from the go. Up until now, we have only offered
a few daughters. Kleos was the 2012 Junior Champion
Speckle Park Bull and the 2013 Senior Champion Speckle
Park Bull at Agribition. This past fall we included a bred
heifer in our show string that he sired and she was the
Breed Champion Speckle Park in the First Lady Classic
and the 2014 Junior Champion Speckle Park female at
Agribition, and she was one of our group chosen for
Breeder’s herd. We know you have been asking, we now
have two sons on offer, these are the first sons from
Kleos 3Y to sell.

When it comes to herd sires, Royal Flesh has bred his
way into our program’s history books. Very few bulls
have carried weight we have bestowed upon him. He has
added length of body and neck, foot and leg structure and
disposition. As all good stockman say, a good bull must
have good structure and be balanced. The back foot should
land in the same track the front foot made, if they can do
that without rounding their back and are smooth in there
cadence, then they are sound, balanced and structurally
correct. This was something my great grandfather taught
me. Great herd sires should also have cow families to
back them up. We are proud of Royal Flesh’s dam, Star
Bank 53R, she was picked by some of the breeders in New
Zealand and Australia as the best cow in Canada. The
offspring out of her have been outstanding overseas and
will again supply the demand for top notch genetics around
the world. At 10 years old, she is still a stand out female
with tons of milk power. She is where Royal Flesh gets
his perfect feet, legs and depth of rib. We would be glad
to show her to anyone interested on sale day. This year’s
offering of bulls shows the consistency of this great
herd sire.

TERMS:
The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of
property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in
attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest
bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from
the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current
exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATIONS:
Each purebred animal will carry papers issued by the Speckle Park Association of Canada.
A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after
payment has been made.
HEALTH:
All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.
GUARANTEE:
Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in
this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Speckle Park
Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and
specific genetic unsoundness.
PREGNANCY INFORMATION:
All serviceable age females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian,
giving an estimated length of gestation. This estimated gestation period shall be used only as a
guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service.
