Question 1: scaffold type question
A 70.0 kg person stands on a 135 kg board. The
board is supported at both ends and is 4.50 m long.
The person stands 1.00 m from the right end. Find
the forces exerted by the supports at each end.
Question 2: ladder type question
11.35. An 85 kg man stands on a 4.0 m long ladder that forms
an angle of 72 degrees with the horizontal and has a mass of
7.2 kg. The floor is rough, hence it exerts a frictional force on
the ladder. The wall is frictionless. If the person stands on the
ladder such that his lever arm is 0.7 m, what is the frictional
force in order for the ladder to not slip.

Question 3: pulley question
11.49 You pull downward with a force of 28 N on a rope
that passes over a disk-shaped pulley of mass 1.2 kg and
radius 0.075 m. The other end of the rope is attached to
a 0.67mkg mass. Is the tension in the rope the same on
both sides of the pulley? If not which side has the largest
tension? (b) Find the tension in the rope on both sides of
the pulley.
Question 4: angular momentum question
