Retro Rudder Assembly Instructions – How to… 1. Sandwich PBD between Deltas 2. Slide blade into place between disc/pulley 3. You may need to drill out a larger hole with ¼” drill bit to accept bolt 4. Use large bolt to hold disc/pulley in place between deltas 5. Take end of rope without knot; feed through PBD and up back around the disc/pulley (rope highlighted in yellow) 6. Pull rope tight around the disc/pulley and match up loose ends 7. Make sure blade is in forward upright position. Using end of rope without knot; tie it off to the blade 8. Deploy rudder into downward position. Feed rope back up and around other side of disc/pulley and through PBD 9. Tie barrel knot with each loose end and pull knots tight. Pull opposing ends and barrel knots will slide together. One more time. Here’s how you tie the rope again: Feed loose end of rope through starboard side of PBD and tie it off with a knot Continue to feed rope back up around disc/pulley and through port side of PBD Tie loose ends with “double fisherman knot”
