Dear Student. Welcome to Los Alamitos Medical Center (&Tenet). You or your school are required to send us information necessary for you to be able to access our patient’s charts & document during your clinical experience. This is a 2-step process that takes several days. The first step is to complete the eTenet log-on request and e-mail the information to your instructor IF your school has NOT sent us your information. Be sure to clearly PRINT and note underscores vs periods. Your instructor will forward this information to us. You will receive an email from e-Tenet. CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAM MAIL to be sure the message is not there. Follow directions to register onto e-Tenet. Once you have completed that process, you MUST complete the following steps to request your Cerner eID so you will be able to complete clinical documentation. Once you are registered on e-Tenet, you need to request your electronic ID (eID): Log on to the e-Tenet. Stay on the HOSPITAL web site. TAKE YOUR TIME, WAIT between sections Select APPS and scroll to IS Services (middle of the page). Be sure to record the number given to you. The eID request will then be routed to our IT department and you will be granted access to Cerner in a day or so. There may be up to a week before this is completed. Do not panic. If you continue to have problems, contact the help lines; ext. 3144-4 or 3600. THIS PROCESS MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO CLINICAL OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS CHARTS, DOCUMENT OR ADMINISTER MEDICATIONS.
