CALL FOR PRESENTERS – CHECKLIST & INSTRUCTIONS
Submission Checklist:
 Completed OAICD “CALL FOR PAPERS - SUBMISSION FORM”
 Completed OAICD “CALL FOR PAPERS - PRESENTER CONTACT FORM(S)”
General Instructions:
1. Ensure forms are complete with no blank fields.
2. Clearly indicate the type of presentation you are submitting, i.e., a presentation, a
workshop or a poster. Indicate if your presentation or workshop is 90 or 180 minutes in
duration.
3. Include a completed “CALL FOR PRESENTERS - SUBMISSION FORM” and a completed
PRESENTER CONTACT FORM for each presenter, co-presenter or discussant.
4. Email submissions to Ellen Boychyn, OAICD Administrative Assistant at:
[email protected] . Submission must be received by OAICD no later than 5:00 p.m.
Eastern Daylight Saving Time on Friday May 29th, 2015.
5. Submissions will be reviewed by the OAICD Conference Review Committee.
6. The OAICD Conference Review Committee will notify you of the decision regarding your
submission by June 30th, 2015.
7. OAICD may recommend a change in the submission type (e.g. a submission for a
workshop may be recommended as a poster)
8. If accepted, ensure ALL presenters register for the conference and pay the appropriate
conference fee (reduced for presenters).
9. Prepare session notes and handouts to be supplied to registrants. These are the
responsibility of the presenters.
10. We respectfully request all presenters provide an electronic copy of their materials to be
posted on the Members Only section of the OAICD website after the conference.
11. OAICD reserves the right to edit presentation/workshop summaries for inclusion in the
conference brochure.
12. OAICD will meet all reasonable requests for audio-visual equipment as requested on the
submission form. AV support staff will be available at the venue. Presenters are expected
to provide their own laptop computers for use with LCD projectors.

Additional Guidelines:
Presentations/Papers

Research submissions must include background information, a clear statement of the
rationale and purpose of the study, a description of the methodology, a summary of the
results and a brief discussion.

Presentations of research should include an evaluation component.

Paper presentations may focus on reviews, program descriptions, new theoretical
constructs or novel treatment approaches.
Workshop Submissions

Workshops are intended to be interactive and to provide participants with opportunities to
practice and learn skills and use materials in interaction with the presenter.

Numbers of participants will be limited as determined by the workshop presenters in
collaboration with OAICD Organizing Committee.
Poster Submissions

Poster presentations should be organized to fit on the table space provided (6’ x 2.5’).
Poster boards must be supplied by the presenter.

Research submissions must include background information, clear statement of the

Deadline for submissions is May 29, 2015, at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight
Saving Time
Honoraria, accommodation, travel and other expenses are not covered for
presentation, workshop or poster presenters.
Presenters will receive a discount on their registration fees.
