The “Apostles’ Fast begins on Monday June 1 and lasts until after Liturgy on June 29, the
Holy Day of Saint Peter and Paul. According to our tradition, simple abstinence (from meat) is
observed on Wednesdays and Fridays during this fasting period. Even though this fasting period in
honor of the Apostles has been forgotten in our Holy Church let us do our best in observing our
spiritual patrimony. Піст Петрівка починається 1 Червня, і триває до Празника Свв.
Апостолів, Петра і Павла, 29 Червня,

The Stamford Diocesan Charities Appeal
We’ve already received contributions from 22 of our 50 parish families.
Total collected as of June 6, 2015 is $1,675.00. 2015 Goal for Our Parish is:
$2,000.00. Amount needed to reach our goal is $325.00. Each member of our
Parish is also a member of the Eparchy and should support and participate in this
Appeal. Next bulletin we publish parishioners who have already contributed.

For those who like to receive the Holy Eucharist regularly, we must remember that
we should be without any mortal sin. A good way to rid yourself of mortal sin is to
come to confession or you may schedule a spiritual conversation with the priest.
*******************************************************************
Proper Attire for Church Services: Out of respect for Our Lord and for the edification of our
neighbors, we ask men and women, boys and girls to appear in church modestly and respectfully
dressed. Shorts, tank tops, low-cut, backless, minidresses, halters, bare midriffs, tight fitting
clothes, etc. do not meet the norm of Christian modesty and/or respect.
Your cooperation is evidence of your love for Our Lord in the mystery of the Holy Eucharist in the
Tabernacle and for His Most Holy Mother. Thank you!

2nd Sunday after Pentecost
Troparion (Tone 1): Though the stone was sealed by the Judeans and soldiers guarded Your
most pure body,* You arose, O Savior, on the third day, and gave life to the world. And
so the heavenly powers cried out to You, O Giver of Life; Glory to your resurrection, O
Christ! Glory to Your kingdom!* Glory to Your saving plan,* O only Lover of Mankind.
+Glory be to the Father …..Kondak (Tone 1):You arose in glory from the tomb* and with
Yourself You raised the world.* All humanity acclaims You as God,* and death has
vanished.* Adam exults, O Master,* and Eve, redeemed now from bondage, cries out for
joy.* “You are the One, O Christ, Who offer resurrection to all.”
Now and forever …Theotokion (Tone 1): When Gabriel uttered to You, O Virgin, his ‘Rejoice!’-at
that sound, the Master of all became flesh in You, the Holy Ark.* As the just David said,*
You have become wider than the heavens carrying Your Creator.* Glory to Him Who dwelt in
You!* Glory to Him Who came forth from You!* Glory to
Him Who freed us through birth from You!
Prokimenon (Tone 1):Let Your mercy, O Lord,* be upon us,* as we have hoped in You (Ps 32:22).
verse: Rejoice in the Lord, O you just; praise befits the righteous (Ps 32:1)
Alleluia (Tone 1): God gives me vindication, and has subdued peoples under me (Ps 17:48).
verse: Making great the salvation of the king, and showing mercy to His anointed, David, and to
His posterity for ever (Ps 17:51)
Communion Verse: Praise the Lord from the heavens;* praise Him in the highest (Ps 148:1).
Alleluia! (3x)
