Assistant Manager Update
Driving range hours
The driving range will close one hour before dark. This is
for the safety of the employees that have to pick up the
range balls at night. Chipping and putting will still be
allowed.
The rest of April, closing time will be 7:00 p.m.
The month of May, closing time will be 7:30 p.m.
The range is also closed Thursday mornings until
approximately 9:30 a.m. for mowing.
st
Morgan McMillan has accepted the position of assistant manager and will start June 1 . The following is the
biography she put together for the membership:
My name is Morgan McMillan, the daughter of Pat and Kathy McMillan, and the older sister of Mason
(17), all of Waukon, IA. Growing up right across the street from the Waukon Golf and Country Club, I began
golfing at the age of 4. I graduated in 2011 from Waukon High School. I have been fortunate enough to have
played both high school and college golf. In high school I was a State Golf qualifier and gained a lot of experience
that I have carried with me throughout my college career. I am a 2015 graduate of Wartburg College, with a
Bachelor Degree of Arts in Business Administration and concentrations in Management and Sport Management. I
also have a minor in Leadership, as well as a Coaching Endorsement. While at Wartburg, the Lady Knights have
qualified and participated in the NCAA Division III Golf Championship all four years that I have been a part of
the program.
In the summer of 2014, I interned at the Oneota Golf and Country Club. I feel fortunate to have gotten to
know many members and look forward to meeting new ones. Golf is my passion, and I am excited to work as your
Assistant Manager. I am going to pursue my PGA Credentials, to better assist the course members.
I like to live by a quote from Ben Hogan-“As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the
roses, for you only get to play one round!” I look forward to seeing you all in the clubhouse or on the course!

Oneota Ladies' League 2015
We’re looking forward to another great season of golf.
The cost will again be $40, which includes handicapping fees and the rest going towards prizes
for weekly events. You do not have to be a top golfer to win the weekly events as many of the
events are geared toward anyone (guess your score, closest to yard markers, closest to line in
the center of the fairway, etc.) We hope the events planned make it fun for all participants.
Members of the committee will be available to answer questions and assist with sign up on
April 21st and 28th from 5:30 to 7:00. If you miss these dates, you can sign up at the bar.
If you enjoy munching on the great cookies/bars out on the course on Tuesdays, please sign up
to bring some. (You do not need to be a member of the league)
Committee Members:
Karen Erion, Shelly Emerson (2015)
Pat Billiet, Lori Burras (2016)
Amy Knoke, Kim Holthaus (2017)
Friday Night Meals will
return on May 22
22nd.
