PRESS RELEASE #15 WARSAW, 13 MAY 2015 TWIN ATLANTIC, ØRGANEK, RUST AND BIBOBIT SET TO PLAY ORANGE WARSAW FESTIVAL 2015 Four more acts join the line-up of this year’s Orange Warsaw Festival. Twin Atlantic will play on Friday, June 12th. Ørganek, Rust and Bibobit will all perform on Saturday, June 13th. All of the acts confirmed to play at Sluzewiec Horse Racing Track on June 12th-14th have now been announced. TWIN ATLANTIC are a rock band from Glasgow, Scotland established in 2007. Their debut studio album, Free, was released in April 2011 on Red Bull Records. Almost three years and over 300 gigs since the release of this silver-selling album, catapulted them from clubs to sold-out shows at Shepherds Bush Empire and the main stage at Reading and Leeds, Twin Atlantic have made a mainstream record that marries their incredible energy live with a more mature approach to songwriting that acknowledges their long-held love of pop. Their most recent release, Great Divide may be driven by guitars and drums, but it is also steeped in piano and strings, built on soaring melodies and littered with lyrics, sung in McTrusty’s strong Scottish accent, that express grown-up emotions as chantalong slogans. Great Divide also repeated the success of their debut album, with the single ‘Heart and Soul’ premiering as BBC’s Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ and the entire album reaching #1 position at UK Rock Chart. ØRGANEK is a band named after the name of their frontman, lyricist and composer, Tomasz Organek. Their debut album “Glupi” (Mystic Production, 2014) took the polish market by storm, received plenty of awards (i.e. Mateusz Trojki 2014, Grzegorz Ciechowski Award in 2014, nomination to Fryderyk 2015) and resulted in many appearances on polish festiwals (i.e. Orange Warsaw Festival 2014). Singles Kate Moss (nr. 1 on Eska Rock radio chart), Ta nasza młodość (16 weeks on Trójka radio chart), Glupi Ja (24 weeks on Trojka radio chart) became a permanent part of national radio playlists. Their live performances are always a treat to all those, who look for something unique, free and real. They can easily be named a discovery of 2014. RUST takes inspiration from the most notable rock’n’roll figures. Their compositions clearly refer to the traditional sounds of the 60’ and 70’ in modern arrangements. This makes them fresh and innovatory. This new quality made this Poznan based band to take polish festival stages by storm. In 2014 the band released its debut album ‘White Fog’. The release was critically acclaimed for both complex musical layer and remarkable lyrics. BIBOBIT s a band that cannot be described in one sentence. Their music is a mixture of energetic vocals by Daniel “Wolny” Moszczynski and Bartek Pietsch with a very unique set of musicians. A combination of jazz piano, electronica and a brass section makes the result very sublime and unprecedented. Their music cannot be easily described. It’s a combination of jazz, groove, hiphop and traditional, melodic songs. One of the people featured on their debut record is Urszula Dudziak, who commented on the cooperation “There’s a freedom in this music (…) and I’m very inspired by this.”.
