Book orders are due April 7th.
We will be celebrating the Week of the Young Child from April 13 th-17th.
Our themes this month: April showers, farm animals, Earth/recycling, and transportation.
The shape for the month is oval and we will review all colors this month.
Just a reminder to please label everything belonging to your child. Items get misplaced and this
makes it easier for us to find the rightful owner. Also, please try to check your child’s folder
daily. This is where a majority of the paperwork goes.
There is a parent resource center located on top of the bookcases near Liz’s office. Feel free
to borrow any material you may find helpful. There is a sign-out book to log out the material.
Please remember to sign it back in when it is returned.
There is also a “Cuddle up and Read” take-home-a-book program located across from the Toddler
2 cubbies in the hallway. Feel free to browse through them and take one home. Each bag has
fun activities for you to do together. Sign-out the material, then back in upon return.
If you have any questions or concerns please call us. The best time that we can talk is between
12:30 and 2:00, when the children are resting.
Thanks
Shannon and Bonnie
April songs:
This Old Earth (tune: This Old Man)
This old Earth, needs our help
To stay fresh and green and clean
With a pick it up, pitch it in, throw it in the can,
This old Earth needs a helping hand.
Old Mac Donald Had a Farm
This is the Boat (tune: Yankee Doodle)
This is the boat where Jesus stood (cup hands)
So everyone could hear Him (put hand to ear).
This is the house where Jesus sat (put fists together)
So people could be near Him.
This is the mountain that He climbed (put fingertips together),
Where people heard Him teach.
Here’s the temple where He went (put knuckles together, pointer fingers up)
To worship and to preach.
