2015 Oregon Fairs Talent Search A competition showcasing the state’s best talent! JUDGE FORM AND TABULATION Judges’ scores will be tabulated by a non-partial Oregon State Fair Auditor. Age groups are:  Children (ages 5 – 9)  Youth (age 10 – 17)  Adult (ages 18 and over) Judging Judges score any number between 1 - 10 in all categories for each group. Score guidelines: 10 = Above Average/Excellent, 5 = Average/Good, 1 = Below Average/Poor Categories Appearance: e.g. appropriate dress, quality and/or originality of costuming Stage Presence: e.g. Entertainment ability, confidence, connection w/audience Talent: e.g. Vocal ability, dance ability, musicianship, skill level, difficulty of piece Example: Judge Scoring Category Appearance Stage Presence Talent Contestant Score 5 7 9 Tabulation Auditor uses this weighted scale, which is based on importance of category Appearance = Score X 1 Stage Presence = Score X 3 Talent = Score X 6 Example: Auditor Tabulation Category Contestant Score Weight Sub Total Appearance 5 X1 5 Stage Presence 7 X3 21 Talent 9 X6 54 TOTAL 80 NOTE: If there is a tie score take the individual judges high score and low score out for the contestants who tied and re-tabulate. All judging forms and tabulations will be disclosed to the contestants.
