MAKE YOUR PLANS FOR HOLY WEEK
Please do all you can to observe all the special days
in the Holy Week which begins today, with Palm
Sunday, and goes all the way to Easter Sunday. Do
your best to attend the evening services on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7:00 pm followed by
Confession. Make a plan to make your Easter duty
this year.
Try your best to not miss the special Masses,
services and personal visits to Church on Holy
Thursday, Great Friday and Easter. For sure, Holy
Week changed the world and so we must observe
all, or as much as we can all these days.

ABOUT THE FEAST OF DIVINE MERCY
A Nine Day Novena for the Feast Day begins on Great
Friday. The First Day of the Novena will be prayed at
3:00 pm. The second day, Holy Saturday, Novena
Prayers will be at 3:00 pm. The 3rd day, on Easter
Sunday will be prayed at 8:00 am, before the Morning
Liturgy. From Monday until Saturday the Novena
Prayers will be offered immediately following the 8:00
am Liturgy. Welcome to everyone.
On the Feast Day of Mercy Sunday, April 12 a
Holy Hour Adoration will begin at 1:30 p.m. with
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the
Rosary, Silent Prayer, reflections from the Diary of St.
Faustina, a special tribute to St. Pope John Paul II, the
Chaplet of Divine Mercy, ending with Benediction of
the Blessed Sacrament. I will present a relic of St.
Faustina for personal veneration. WELCOME
EVERYONE.
Why do we have the Feast of Divine Mercy?
According to the Diary of St. Faustina our Lord made
14 revelations requesting this feast day be established
on the Sunday after Easter Sunday. On April 30, 2000,
at the time of the Canonization of St. Faustina, Pope
St. John Paul II established this feast day for all the
universal Church to celebrate. We also remember that
this great Pope in the Catholic Church went home to
the Lord on the eve of this great Feast Day in 2005.
Welcome to our Holy Hour celebration on
Sunday, April 12 beginning at 1:30 pm. Special
welcome to all our youth as well.

About Fridays in Lent …
-
All Fridays are days of fast which means one
main meal and no meat. Each Friday evening
we pray the Way of the Cross and Benediction
of the Cross. All the Parish is greatly
encouraged to make a sacrifice and come for
devotions including all our youth.

Men’s Club – Thank you
Think on this…
By Sub-Deacon Alex
I wanted to share with you a poem that I wrote
when a friend of mine lost their young child. It is
appropriate for Passion Week.
How long?
My steps crunch and creek
At the spindles above me
The trees look so bleak
And the world is ugly
The fall of the year
My heart longs
That one tree so pretty
Fruit good to the eye
Disobedient bite
And now we all die
The fall of man
My heart longs
Joy to our world
A child is born
Death's finger uncurled
And from us he's torn
The fall of a child
My heart longs
A sore loser is death
You stubbornly sting
With your last noxious breath
Drawn from you by the king
The fall of death
My heart longs, longs for eternity.
