Program Planning Conference 2015
Unit Leaders and Committee Chairs, you are invited to join us for an evening of information,
fellowship, and fun! It is time to start planning for the next year of Scouting Adventures, so please plan on
joining us for our 2015 Program Planning Conference at Camp Mack on Thursday, May 7th. This evening will
give you the opportunity to meet the leadership of our Program Support Committees, learn about the exciting
new line-up for Trail’s End Popcorn, and hear about the exciting events and programs the Council & Districts
will be planning for the coming year. By the end of the evening you should have all the information and tools
you need to plan an exciting program for your unit.
Important information and any policy changes will be shared concerning advancement, tour plans, and
training. Topics covered will be items that you need to consider when you are planning your 2015-2016 unit
program and activities.
This evening is important, because, as you know, strong program leads to: more scouts staying in
Scouting, more youth wanting to join, and more parent support! Often time we say that every Scout deserves
a trained leader. Perhaps we should also be saying that every Scout Family deserves a well-planned program!
Our gathering will begin at 5:00 at the Pavilion at Camp Mack. Dinner will be served at 6:00 and the
meeting portion will begin at 6:45. Our meeting will be concluded by 8:30, and then you will have some time
to catch up with your Unit Commissioner, a member of the Program Support group, or just some Scouting
friends.
All units are encouraged to have at least 2 leaders attend. Two leaders may attend at no cost; each
additional leader may attend at a cost of $6.00 each if paid by April 24 ($10 after April 24) to cover the cost
of the meal.
