Once again our summer camp has some exciting themes. This year our weekly themes are: Treasure Hunters, Fun and Fitness, Stars and Stripes, Symphony of the Five Senses, Pirates, Construction, Survivor – Outwit-Outplay-outlast and the most popular annual Summer Sleepover! All students preschool through eighth grade were promoted to their new classes on Monday, June 15th. We will be keeping the student’s academic skills sharp this summer through, not only reading and science classes, but also active learning classes. The students will be prepared to begin their fall semester! Thank you to all who attended our 2014-2015 Awards Ceremonies. The students all worked very hard, and received awards for all their efforts. Our swimming program is an important part of our summer program. Please remember to send your student with a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Also, please remember to label your child’s clothes. Page Private School will be closed Friday, July 3rd to celebrate our Independence Day. We wish you all a very happy Fourth of July. Please have a wonderful and safe holiday. During the month of July we will be planning for the upcoming school year. You will receive a packet in the mail this month with more information. Please make sure to come in early to try on and order uniforms so your child has a complete set for the first day of school. I would like to wish everyone a wonderful summer. I look forward to seeing all of you on the first day of school. James Shafer Assistant Principal 3 Reminder To All Parents: All parents must have a current emergency card on file for the new 2015 - 2016 school year! Cards will be available in the office throughout the summer and at Back to School Night, which will take place the first week of August. In The Swim: Swimming is a fantastic part of our summer program. All students, pre-school through 8th grade, will have a chance to use the pool during their scheduled times. Please bring your swimsuit, towel, sunblock and flip-flops each day. Label all items with your child’s last name. The following pool rules will keep us all safe while having a great time: 1. Change clothes quickly and quietly. 2. Apply sunscreen before entering the pool area. Ask for help if you need it. 3. Please tie up your hair if it is shoulder length or longer. 4. Walk, do not run! 5. Jumping, diving and horseplay are not allowed. Summer Dress Code No uniforms, Yeah! Please remember we do have a casual dress code and to observe good taste. The weather is warm so be sure to dress your children in cool summer clothes with a removable sweatshirt or jacket if necessary. Only closed-toe, rubber sole shoes are allowed. Sandals, water shoes and goggles (no floaties) are allowed at the pool during swim time. Most importantly, remember to leave sunblock in your child’s locker- it should be worn and reapplied everyday. Physical Examinations All children entering pre-school through 1st grade must have a physical examination record on file. There are also new immunization requirements in regards to the chicken pox vaccine. Please be sure your child is up to date on these requirements. Forms are available in the director’s office. All students entering the 7th grade will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster immunization (called “Tdap”) for school in the fall. 4 Summer Reading to this year.
