Twilight Sports
What a terrific night we all enjoyed on Tuesday evening when we gathered on the oval to enjoy
a variety of picnic games. The tyre rolling was my favourite!! Thankyou to all our families who
were able to join us and particular mention to our parents who participated in the parent race
at the end. You all set a great example!!
Thank you also to all the staff that looked after the events, to Mrs Brady as MC and of course to
Mr Sciacca for all his organisation and setting up. Another great Parkhill event!!
School Council Annual Report
On Thursday 19th March, Parkhill Primary School Council will be holding its Annual General Meeting. This will take place at 7.00pm and will be followed by School Council itself just after 7.30pm.
We will be reporting on the performance over 2014, with respect to Student Achievement, Student Engagement and Student Wellbeing. This will be followed by the Co-option Meeting where
we will welcome new members to our council and co-opt our community member for 2015.
Election of Office Bearers for 2015 will then be made and will be followed by our normal School
Council Meeting. A busy night indeed and you are all welcome to attend the AGM and also sit in
on the School Council meeting as a visitor. Please be advised that the Annual Report will also be
made available on the school website and will be accessible on the VRQA State register sometime in May/June, 2015.

In Create A Scene we got to dress up. I
dressed up as a knight.
My favourite part of the excursion

Late Pass & Early Leaver Pass: Many students are arriving late to school and
unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. If your child is late then it is a requirement that you bring them to the office for a Late Pass that must be taken to class. Similarly, if you are to pick up your child for an appointment
please also come by the office for an Early Leavers Pass that must be presented to the classroom teacher before your child can be released from class.
If your child is to be picked up by an adult
other than a parent or guardian, then a
note is required stating their name & a current contact number.
Thank you for your support in following
these procedures.
Messages: Should you need to leave a message for your child, please phone at
recess which commences at 11.00am.
Trying to get a message to class is at times difficult as the timetable may mean
they are not in their classrooms & messages are missed.
Visitors: All visitors whether helping in the classroom, dropping items off or
helping out in the many ways possible at Parkhill, MUST register in the sign-in
book at the office.
Reminder: Essential Education Items | Parent Payments were due on 27th
February, 2015. If you have not made payment arrangements please contact
the office as soon as possible.
TIQBIZ News: We have added new pages to our Tiqbiz profile. You may now
choose to add Class Reps & PFA pages to your ticked notifications.

Easter Raffle –Donations please
The box is now in the school foyer and we are seeking donations
of eggs, bunnies and Easter related items. Term One is a short
term and the end is almost upon us!
The success of the raffle relies on the support of all the great families at Parkhill.
Families are asked to help by donating something to the raffle. This is a highly
anticipated event in the student's calendar and we look forward to being able to
hand out some great prizes.
Raffle books will be out this week with the eldest child.

Watch out for your hot cross bun order form coming out this week. A percentage
of your sale will be donated to the school. This is a sweet and tasty way of contributing to the 'extras' that make the school special.
Remember to say “Parkhill Primary School” before you pay at Bakers Delight Ashburton, Chadstone, Oakleigh and Oakleigh Links to
have 5% of the sale go towards our school!
2015 events
Watch for upcoming events in the PFA newsletter. A trivia night is rumoured to
be taking place this year!
Search for us using the name “Parkhill Primary School Community Page”. Then click the “join group” icon. A group administrator will confirm your association with the school and
approve your request.
Remember to link Parkhill Primary School to your Aussie Farmers account and
Ritchies SUPA IGA card. This will earn valuable dollars for the school.
