D.: Dr. Silver is the Medical Director of Parkinson's Disease Association of San Diego and Head Department of Neurology at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, California. His main areas of interest are neurodegenerative diseases, especially Parkinson’s disease and atypical Parkinson’s disease, but also Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. He has been the principle investigator in over 80 clinical trials in primarily in Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and migraine. In 1994 Dr. Silver along with Dr. Ott brought Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) into San Diego as an established treatment for Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease. Panida Piboolnurak, M.D.: is a board certified neurologist, specialized in Parkinson’s Disease, movement disorders and cognitive disorders in neurodegenerative diseases. Her special interests are Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Movement Disorders and Botulinum Toxin Injection for Movement Disorders and Spasticity. She is now serving as a Director of Hawaii Memory and Brain Health Center and Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience. Her work philosophy is “Patient First”. Pat Borman M.D. Dr. Borman joined HPN in 2015. She was the Director of Geriatrics at Swedish Medical Center. She is certified in geriatrics completing her fellowship at Swedish Family Medicine. She is certified in palliative medicine from the Institute of Palliative Medicine at San Diego. Dr. Borman thrives on treating a variety of problems and uses a holistic approach caring for patients and their families.
