A BILL Intituled AN ACT to amend the Bills of Sale Act. A.D. 2009 Short title. Cap. 90:12 Amendment of section 9 of the Principal Act. Enacted by the Parliament of Guyana:1. This Act, which amends the Bills of Sale Act, may be cited as the Bills of Sal.c., (Amendment) Act 2009. 2. Section 9 (1) of the Principal Act is amended by the substitution for it of the following subsection"(1) The registration of a bill of sale, whether executed before or after the commencement of this Act, shall be renewed once at least every three years, and if a period of three years elapses from the registration or renewed registration of a bill of sale without a renewal or further renewal (as the case may be), the registration shall become void.". 3. EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM This Bill seeks to amend the Bill of Sale Act (Cap. 90:12) to remove the requirement for annual renewal of bills of sale and substitute the requirement of renewal every three years.
