Sampling of purchased parts is conducted by Kiekert on the electronic way. Advantages: global
availability, transparent requirements
The necessary extent of sampling is regulated in the Kiekert “Supplier Quality Guidline (QR01)”
and the “Initial Sampling Guidline” linked with it.
Kiekert provides about the e-PPAP application in the SAP system to every purchasing part
referred on index and inspection lot a sampling record and collaborations.
The collaborations contain the e-cover-sheet and all requirements (report chapters) which are
necessary for the handling of the respective sampling. It can exist to a sampling several active
collaborations.
The collaborations are made available over “Supplier Log-In” via the Kiekert web page in the
area „Quality / PPAPs del. dates“.
The supplier uploads the demanded sampling documentation in the collaborations according to
the present description.
After completion of the collaborations by the supplier and incoming of the accompanying sample
parts with original-size positioned drawing as well as copy of the PPAP cover sheet in paper
form is the sampling officially available to the PPAP department of the requesting Kiekert plant.
Kiekert evaluated the sampling within the e-PPAP application and informs the supplier
afterwards of the sampling result by e-mail.

until" a suitable date in the future.

double click on the suitable line.

10. To every requirement listed in the collaboration, the respective sampling chapter is to be
filled in the file format “Adobe (.pdf)” (e.g. requirement: Deviation report => document:
Deviation report etc.). Several documents can be added to a requirement (e.g. appendices
to the respective sampling chapter).
Note: For the chapters “Deviation report" and “Dimensional report“ the requirement
documents are to be provided both in the file format "Excel" and "Adobe“!

11. To the uploaded files a suitable classification of the documents is to be carried out
(e.g. Histogramm to the capability verification etc.). The classification can be
selected with right-click on the "flag" Ikon.

14. If all requirements of the collaboration
are fulfilled, a security query appears
for the closing of the collaboration. If
this question is confirmed with "Yes",
the provided documents are imported
by SAP automatically in the sampling
record. The status of the collaboration
is "Finished" and the collaboration can
not be changed any more.
15. If not all requirements of the
collaboration are fulfilled, appears an
inspection protocol with the necessary
requirements which are necessary for
the finishing and must be worked on
before.

16. After finishing of the collaboration in the Kiekert supplier portal the sample parts as well
as a paper version of the positioned drawing must be sent in original size and under
information of the inspection lot number (copy of the completely satisfactory Excel form
of cover sheet) to the requesting Kiekert plant.
Note:
Only after physical incoming of the sample parts and documents (positioned drawing
and ISIR cover sheet) as well as finishing of the collaboration by the supplier the
sampling is officially valid in Kiekert presented. Furthermore the demands according to
the Kiekert Supplier Quality Guidline (QR01) and the Initial Sampling Guidline keep
their validity.
