APRIL 2015
PBS39 Deepens its Roots in
the Community!
At PBS39, we are always excited to share our
latest and greatest programming with you.
Throughout March, we did it by showing
special programming and member favorites.
This month, we have brand-new seasons of
Death in Paradise and Mr. Selfridge coming
your way, as well as an Easter Sunday
presentation of Ken Burns’ documentary,
Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies, to kickoff Cancer Awareness Week (April 5 - 12).
In addition to our stellar programming, PBS39
is also an active member of the community.
Twice in March, we opened our doors to the
public for free events, An Evening with Mary
Fahl on March 9th, and a day of taping Behind
the Guitar with Craig Thatcher on March
26th. More opportunities to interact with us
are coming this spring; we will be at
Allentown’s Da Vinci Science Center on
Saturday, April 18th for a family-oriented Earth
Day celebration, and our ever-popular PBS39
MicroBrew Festival is scheduled for Saturday,
May 30th at Coca-Cola Park.
Mark your calendars!
Of course, you don’t need a special event to
interact with us every day! Join us on
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to share your
PBS39-related thoughts, questions and
suggestions. Also, check out our new Speak
Up! blog, which provides a fresh perspective
on the issues that matter to you.
Visit wlvt.org/blogs/speak-up to read the
latest, and make sure you share and comment
on the posts that resonate with you.
During this season of growth, there is much to
enjoy about PBS39 -- On-air, online and in our
community!
