JUNE 2015 As Summer Begins, Raise the Thermometer at PBS39! It has been an exciting spring at PBS39. Throughout May, we successfully hosted a variety of fun events, including our TEDxLehighRiver Friendraiser (May 4th), a performance by Celtic musicians Colm Keegan and Laura Durrant (May 14th), and our flagship event, the Fifth Annual PBS39 MicroBrew Festival (May 30th). In addition, we featured more of the high-quality programming you’ve come to expect from PBS39, including Mr. Selfridge and the season finale of our weekly news magazine program, FOCUS. Now, we turn our attention to the summer months, and we find ourselves in the midst of another wave of special programming and member favorites. There’s something for everybody this month on PBS39, especially if you love music. Special presentations of Mannheim Steamroller: 30/40 Live and ThePianoGuys: Live at Red Butte Garden will be accompanied by exclusive ticket offers. It’s our way of saying “Thank You” for pledging your financial support to PBS39 during these programs. Your support during programs like these — as well as this month’s live presentations of Ed Slott’s Retirement Roadmap, Pain Prescription with Dr. Mitchell Yass and Aging Backwards with Miranda Esmonde-White — is crucial as our fiscal year draws to a close on June 30th. With your help, we can finish the year on target and begin next year on strong financial footing. If there was ever a good time to support public media, that time is now! One final note: Singer-songwriter Mary Fahl is coming back to PBS39 on Saturday, June 6th for an intimate acoustic performance. Tickets are still available at wlvt.ticketleap.com, and we couldn’t be happier to offer this special concert here at the studio! Summer is about to heat up at PBS39. We hope you’ll join us for the great month ahead!
