Your Neighborhood…Your Groups
Ever hear the expression “you can’t
fight City Hall”? Well, whether that’s
true or not, we’re here to work with you
and City Hall in making East Allentown a
better place for all of us to live and work.
This works best when more of our
neighbors participate. Some of the issues
we have handled over the past few
months include:
• Traffic issues, including truck traffic
• Noise issues, both home and
business-related
• Neighborhood safety/Crime Watch
• Blighted properties
• Area parks and recreation

How will you do on your “Report Card”?
Allentown Police officers will be issuing “Theft from Motor Vehicle report cards” throughout the
eastside over the coming months. Officers will be walking through neighborhoods during all hours
“inspecting” vehicles for theft vulnerabilities and placing a report card on your windshield. Officers will
be looking for unlocked doors, open windows, valuables in plain sight, and keys left in the ignition. We
need your help to prevent thieves from targeting you. Don’t make it easy for criminals! Over 90% of
thefts from vehicles are due to vehicles left unlocked or valuables left in plain sight.
Please report activity you feel is suspicious right away! Call our communication center at 610-437-7751
if you see anything or anyone that doesn’t look “right”. Trust your instincts!
