The cold weather is approaching, so the P & C will be resuming ‘Soup Day’.
Soup Day will be held each Thursday as this will allow us to include the Kindergarten
students. It will commence on Thursday the 14th May and continue through term 3 until the
warmer weather returns.
Each person rostered on needs to make about 5 litres of soup each to ensure there will be
enough for everybody (we currently have 37 children at the school). You can make tinned or
homemade soup of your choice whatever is most convenient for you.
On your rostered day please arrive around 12 noon to set up your soup in the small
undercover area close to where the children eat. There will be a desk outside ready for you.
In the staff room there will be a P & C box with cups and spoons. The money that we receive
can be left at the front desk with Lisa when you have finished.
A cup of soup will be $1.00. If you wish to serve bread with your soup you are welcome to
provide it at your donation however you are not obliged to do so.
We do have a small school and we need to ensure that we continue to build a strong school
community. Soup Day is a small way that we as Parents and Citizens can show our support.
It allows us to be a part of helping to ensure a nurturing and positive environment for our
kids
I have provided the Soup Roster which includes all parents below. Please ensure that you
are available on your rostered day with your soup warm and ready serve otherwise it is your
responsibility to find someone to swap with or help you out! Please don’t let the Dad’s feel
left out, we’d love either parent to fulfil the rostered position ☺
