England Coast to Coast

Join avid trekker John Lynne for a slide presentation of
his 200-mile walk across northern England. Take in the
scenery, adventure, and sociability of the famed Coast
to Coast Path including the Lake District, various

Before Kindergarten
The 1000 Books Before
Kindergarten Challenge
encourages all families and
caregivers to read at least 1000
books with their young children
before they enter Kindergarten.
Reading to preschool age children
builds vocabulary and language
skills, helping to prepare them for
Kindergarten. In as little as 15
minutes a day, families can build
the skills for future school and life

The 8th annual Low Vision Fair, sponsored by the North Suburban Library
Low Vision Consortium: Glenview, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Park
Ridge, Prospect Heights, Skokie and Vernon Area Public Libraries, will
feature glaucoma screening by the North Shore Eye and Vision Center,
assistive technology vendors, supportive service agencies, and diabetic
retinopathy screening sponsored by the Park Ridge Lions Club. Admission
is free; no registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
Free round trip transportation is offered by the Prospect Heights Park District,
