Imagine • Believe • Achieve
PHSC’s tuition is among the
most affordable in the state of Florida.
Also, more than 60% of our students qualify for
financial aid and work study programs
or are eligible for scholarships.
Start with an Associate in Arts (AA) Degree
Many professions require a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or
university. PHSC’s Associate in Arts degree allows students to complete
the first two years of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
conveniently and affordably. Based on 60-credit-hours, the AA degree is
equivalent to freshman and sophomore classes offered at Florida public
universities and colleges. With guaranteed admission as a junior into one
of Florida’s public universities or baccalaureate programs offered by the
Florida College System, graduates are prepared to advance to upper
level coursework.
The AA Degree Advantage
AA degree recipients have mastered college success skills and have learned
to balance work, family and college obligations. In fact, Florida College
System students transferring to a four-year program out-perform students
who begin their studies as university freshmen.
AA degrees can be customized to meet degree program
requirements at targeted transfer institutions. With the
help of a PHSC advisor, students can select electives
to prepare for career-specific, transfer opportunities.
Finish your bachelor’s degree at PHSC!
Now a state college, PHSC offers two
baccalaureate degrees. AA degree graduates
are eligible to apply for the popular new
Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision
and Management. While the new Bachelor
of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree requires
an Associate in Science degree in nursing,
AA degree general education credits apply
toward BSN pre-requisites and core credits
needed for this limited-access program. As
new bachelor’s degrees are developed, AA
degree completers will have opportunities
to pursue additional PHSC baccalaureate
program options.
