*Please note that we are piloting a reduction in Program Hours over the May-September period in the SCC.
Starting the week of May 4, the SCC will be closed for Program Hours on Tuesday and Thursday mornings
from 9:00-11:00 am only. We hope that you enjoy your extra time in the SCC!
Are you new to the Athletic Centre or simply interested in learning something new? A variety of
orientations are available for both the Strength and Conditioning Centre, including the East Wing and Field
House. Check out the Drop-In Group Fitness schedule for days and times.
Participants are encouraged to register at least 24 hours in advance. Visit www.physical.utoronto.ca and
follow the QuickLink to online registration: (QuickLinks --> Online Registration Programs Downtown Learn to MoveU Strength & Conditioning Orientations) or visit the Main Office to register.
These orientations are available for beginners. Times are available during both coed and women-only hours.
Registration is required to a maximum of 4 participants.
In the SCC, you will find a selection of Hammer Strength plate-loaded machines, Olympic weightlifting
platforms and equipment, medicine balls, barbells, dumbbells and a full circuit of selectorized Atlantis Fitness
weight training equipment.
In the Field House, located around the perimeter of the 200-metre track, you will find a full circuit of Life
Fitness single-station weight training machines. Cardio machines include ellipticals, recumbent and upright
bikes, racing cycles, rowing machines, AMTs, treadmills and a hand cycle ergometer.
Please note that there is a 30-minute time limit on all cardio equipment. Please use the sign-up sheets
provided.
The East Wing of the SCC is occasionally booked for programming, rentals, special events or group training.
