Qualification: PhD Degree/ Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC
recognized Institution).
Experience: 11-years Post-PhD or minimum of 7-years of post-PhD experience along
with at least 12 years of experience prior to the PhD. (The experience to be counted is to
be of teaching/research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or
professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization)
Publications: 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in
Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher
Education Commission.
TRP Recommendations: The applicant must have been recommended by at least two
neutral foreign experts of TRP, in clear context of Tenure Track OR Tenure appointment.
JOINT DIRECTOR
Qualification: Ph.D. from HEC recognized Institution in Economics and related fields.
Experience: 20-years research/teaching experience in a recognized University or a postgraduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or
International Organization.
OR
At least 12-years post-Ph.D. research/teaching experience in a recognized University or a
post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or
International Organization.
Research/Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications (with at least 3
research publications in last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.
The applicant must have 5 research publications in Internationally Refereed Journals.
Chapter in an internationally edited volume published by an internationally recognized
Publisher, not published elsewhere, may also be considered equal to an article published
in Internationally Refereed Journal.
A book of high professional merit will also be taken into account in determining the
merit.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Qualification: PhD Degree/ Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC
recognized Institution).
Experience: 6-years Post-PhD or minimum of 4-years of post-PhD experience along with
at least 6 years of experience prior to the PhD. (The experience to be counted is to be of
teaching/research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional
experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization)
Publications: 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in
Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher
Education Commission.
TRP Recommendations: The applicant must have been recommended by at least two
neutral foreign experts of TRP, in clear context of Tenure Track OR Tenure appointment.
CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS
A lump sum pay package shall be decided with mutual understanding on the following
terms and conditions:
A. Qualification and Experience:

Master degree in Second Class/B-Grade from a HEC recognized university.
The candidate must have 17 years experience in BPS-17 and above, especially 5
years in BPS-19 in a responsible position in Government, Semi-Government
teaching/research organization.
B. By Transfer:
1. By transfer from the research/teaching/administrative staff equal to BPS-19 and
above.
2. 17 years teaching or research or administrative experience specifically 5 years in
BPS-19.
The term of appointment shall be four (04) years.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (TTS)
Qualification: PhD Degree in Economics/Terminal Qualification in the relevant field
(from an HEC recognized Institution).
Note: For PhD degree holders from Pakistan, the Registrar must certify that the PhD
thesis was evaluated by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of PhD
degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence
of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (BPS)
Qualification: PhD Degree in Economics/Terminal Qualification in the relevant field
(from an HEC recognized Institution). No experience will be required.
OR
a. Masters Degree (Foreign) or M. Phil. (Pakistan) in Economics with specialization in
any of the above given area of specialty or equivalent Degrees awarded after 18 years
of education in the relevant field from any of the HEC recognized University/Institute.
b. 4 years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduation
Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or
International Organization.
LECTURER
a. First Class/A Grade Master's Degree (M.A. /M.Sc.) in Economics or equivalent
Degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division
in the academic career from an HEC recognized University/ Institution.
b. The condition of no 3rd Division shall not be applicable in the qualification of
appointment as Lecturer provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz. M.
Phil. /Ph. D. or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd Division in entire
academic career.
c. The candidate with 2nd Division in the Master’s Degree but holding higher degree i.e.
M. Phil/Ph. D. or equivalent degree with 18 years of education may be considered.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / DATA ANALYST (QEC)
a. First

2. Applicants already working in Government/Semi-Government Organizations/
Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel by due date and submit
service certificate issued by their present/former employers, otherwise, the
applications will not be entertained. However, the Institute may entertain advance
copies.
3. Applications that are incomplete or received after due date will not be entertained.
The applications must be accompanied by the certificates/degrees/testimonials etc
along with copies of publications.
4. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview/evaluation.
5. The Institute reserves the right of not filling any post or withholding the appointment
against any advertised post or accepting/rejecting any application without assigning
