Unwind coil of cable by rolling it along the floor. This will prevent kinking. 2. Place the end of cable opposite the hook through the rollers and into the hole provided in drum. Secure cable. 3. Wind cable on drum in even layers using power of winch. MODEL T·200 WINCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: To payout cable from winch in order to conduct a winching operation, disengage winch clutch lever by moving to "0 UT" position as indicated by label on winch clutch housing, and pulling out cable by hand or by vehicle movement. To commence winching operation after paying out cable and attaching cable to load to be moved, pulled or lifted, or suitable anchor if vehicle is to be self winched, re-engage clutch lever by moving lever to "1 N" position as indicated by label on winch housing. If difficulty in engaging clutch lever is encountered, rotate winch drum by hand while endeavoring to engage clutch lever until clutch is felt to fully engage. To payout cable under power or to lower load, depress control button on winch control switch to "0 UT" position and hold until load is lowered or desired amount of cable is paid out. prevent dangerous movement of vehicle and /or load. When self -winching vehicle, be sure vehicle is free to move when assisted by your 0 ESERT DYNAMICS winch, and that parking and service brakes are not applied, also that vehicle is not against an immovable obstruction or encumbrance, so that no undue dangerous strain or overload is put on your vehicle or winch . Your DESERT DYNAMICS winch is of a worm gear type of construction and is not equipped with any type of sometimes troublesome and unre liable mechanical brake, to hold load when raising or lowering just merely, release the electric control button thus stopping the winch, and your DESERT DYNAMICS winch will hold its load in that position until further actuated by winching-in or paying-out. It is recommended that most loads be pulled in from a "Straight-Ahead" position. This will let the cable build up more evenly on the winch drum . For winching-in operations, be sure winch clutch is fully engaged and cable is securely and safely fastened to load or anchor before attempting any winching operation. To winch in, move control switch to "IN" position and hold until load is lifted or load is pulled to desired position, or vehicle is freed of its encumbrance_ If the cable is reeled against either side of the drum, or cable guide roller assembly, it will tend to pile up on that side of the drum, thus limiting the amount of cable to be used for that particular winching operation. When winching, pulling, or lifting a load, be sure vehicle's brakes are applied securely and kept applied throughout winching operation so as to Your DESERT DYNAMICS winch is a well manufactured and reliable product. WiTh proper care, usage, and maintenance, your new DESERT DYNAMICS winch will provide long and troublefree reliable service. REMEMBER - Take good care of your DESERT DYNAMICS WINCH AND CABLE, and _. _they, in turn, will be ready to take good care of you when it really counts .
