DEADLINE FOR ARTICLES
Thanks to all the contributors of this edition. The deadline for
articles for the edition is 27th March 2015.
PILLIGA FISHING CLUB:
The club held their annual presentation & AGM on Saturday night
th
the 28 February at Shane & Jennys place.28 adults and 21
children were in attendance on the night. A bbq tea & salads were
enjoyed by members as well as a few drinks.The kids enjoyed a
lolly and easter egg hunt, a game of cricket and football and after
tea,free soft drinks and icecream.
Presentations of trophys for 2014 were awarded to the following.
Junior Longest Y/Belly (a tie) – RYAN CURRIE -50cm
Junior Longest Y/Belly (a tie) - DEAN PLATT - 50cm
Junior Longest Cod – NOAH PLATT – 70cm
Junior Longest Carp – DARYL SMITH – 77cm

The AGM was held and nominations were called for by Merle
Wooldridge in Garys abscence.Shane Stewart was reelected as

president.This is his 19 year as president.
Vice presidents elected were Warwick (Sparky)Hall,
Martin(Pod)Lavis and Peter Knowles.
Secretary reelected was Joe Miller and Jenny Stewart remains as
treasurer.Publicity officers elected are Sheree Maxwell and Anne
Shearin.

Our next outing will be to Keepit Dam on the 14 & 15 March as
we are hosting the annual Interclub competition.For further info
on this call Shane Stewart on 67964455.

Next year the Pilliga Fishing Club will be celebrating its 20 year
rd
as a club.The club was first formed on the 23 October 1996.A
great effort for such a small club.
Membership is now due for renewal. New members
are most welcome to join.

Adult membership- $10.00
Child membership - $5.00

Unfortunately due to funding shortages, the Gwabegar Community Links Centre will only be open by
appointment only. If you require assistance outside of these hours please contact Gary Wooldridge for an
appointment on 6799 0000 or 0427 964 316 (please keep in mind that Gary is not paid to work outside
the abovementioned set hours and may not be available outside of these hours).
