Our students will be representing us at two district wide events, The 24 Math and Battle of the Books competitions will be held at the district office early this month and our kids are ready to show what they know!! Go Math Wizards and Book Bandits!! I appreciate the time these kids have spent ENTHUSIASTICALLY preparing for these competitions, and greatly appreciate their sponsors, Mrs. Mackereth, Mrs. Wilkinson and Mrs. Shine. Read Across Pinewoods is going to be the week of May 18th, and it is going to be awesome! We will kick off the week on 5/18 by dressing as our favorite Dr. Seuss characters and having green eggs and ham for breakfast! There will be something special each day that week – keep your eyes open for a more detailed information. Bingo for Books is Tuesday, May 19th. Thursday, May 21st is our annual Academic Fair from 6- 7 pm and orientation for our newest Kindergarten Eagles from 5:30 – 6. Our awesome PTO will also be holding a SPRING FLING silent auction, the baskets and items for auction are amazing! We will close out our week with our Author’s Parade on Friday , May 22nd at 8:45. The book fair will be open the entire week, as well as the evening of the Academic Fair. Please feel free to call with any questions. I am very proud to announce that one of our very own kindergarten students will be recognized at May’s Lee County Sheriff Department’s “Do the Right Thing” ceremony.
