NURSE’S NOTES
Immunization Requirements for 2015-2016:
Students entering 6th grade in 2015-2016 school year will need the
following immunizations: 1 Tdap, 1 Meningococcal.
Students entering 12th grade in 2015-2016 school year are required to
have a Meningococcal booster.
Please plan accordingly and schedule an appointment. These
immunizations will be required at registration in the fall.
FRIDAY DISMISSALS
Remember Friday dismissal is earlier than the rest of the week.
Elementary will dismiss at 1:50 and Jr.-Sr. High School will dismiss at
2:05
PARENTS!!
Parents, please call the office with transportation changes no later than
1:00 pm when possible.

LUNCH ACCOUNTS
ELEMENTARY YEARBOOKS
Alumni Banquet will be June 13, 2015 at the Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High
School Cafeteria.
Please make sure your children have enough funds in their lunch
accounts to get them to the end of the school year. We have 16 days of
school left starting Monday. Lunch prices are K-5 $2.25, Grades 6-8
$2.35 and Grades 9-12 $2.45.
ELEMENTARY & JR/SR HIGH PICTURES
Spring pictures have arrived. If you would like to purchase them, please
send payment with your children or drop it off in the office. If you do not
want to purchase the pictures, please send them back as soon as
possible.
HINDS SEED CORN ROUGING-HIRING MTG
Hiring Meetings will be held as follows: Tuesday, May 19, 2015 @
Oregon-Davis High School at 6:00 PM and on Thursday, May 21, 2015
@ Knox Girl Scout Cabin, 101 W. Washington St., Knox, IN at 6:00 pm.
Must be at least 14 years old, pay is $7.50 per hour. There will be a
$.50 per year experience pay increase up to 4 years. There will also be
a $.50 per hour worked bonus paid at the end of the season for all
employees working 80% of the total hours. They will work around
schedules as long as they know in advance. A typical season will
consist of working a few weeks starting some time in June. Work will be
no more than 6 days in a row and typically 6 hours per day. Fields will
not be walked but you will ride on personnel carriers.
K-3 students board the buses at 2:25 PM, and 4th-6th grade students
board buses at 2:28 PM. Buses will leave the elementary by 2:30 PM.
We still have 2013-2014 Elementary Yearbooks for sale!! You may
purchase them at the office. Cost is $10 each.
SUMMER SCHOOL
We have a few spots available for Oregon-Davis Elementary Summer
School. During summer school, teachers will work on basic skills
necessary to be successful in their next grade level. Teachers will
deliver engaging, hands on lessons, focusing on math and reading.
We will offer a 1st/2nd grade classroom and a 3rd/4th grade
classroom. Summer school will run June 8 through July 2, MondayThursday. Transportation will be available for all students living within
our district, however we are currently only planning a morning and
afternoon route. We will also have breakfast and lunch for all students
attending. Summer school will start at 7:45 and end at 11:45. For
those students who would like to stay longer, SCYC will be offering
their traditional Summer School programing from 11:30-2:30. SCYC
programming will run the same dates as Oregon Davis Summer
School. There is a minimal cost of $20 for SCYC program. Contact Mr.

Our last collection of box tops for this school year will be at the end of
May. We will be sending them in on May 30th. Please have all box
tops that expire soon brought in before then. We very much
appreciate it!!
