This class will NOT participate in the spring dance recital.
Sections A1 and A4 will learn only ballet. Sections A2 and A3 will
learn ballet, hip hop and pom dance. Ballet shoes are required
for all sections. Clean gym shoes are required for sections A2
and A3. There will be no recital or costumes for these classes.
Please wear comfortable clothing. No denim or skirts.

Weber Irish Dance
Irish dance is alive and thriving right here in the southwest
suburbs. Children of every nationality will enjoy this dance
class. Participants will learn Irish Step and Figure Dancing and
participate in Weber dance events such as St. Patrick’s Day
parades, competitions, and recitals. Placement in beginner,
intermediate and advanced levels will be determined at the first

Spring Rehearsal and Recital Information
Your child has the opportunity to perform in our Spring Recital on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Rialto Square Theatre in
Joliet. The registration deadline for recital participation is 4:30p on Tuesday, Dec. 30! NO COSTUME FORMS OR
PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE. This will be strictly enforced. Additional costumes cannot be
ordered after the deadline. The recital is not mandatory; however dancers must purchase a costume through the Plainfield
Park District by the deadline to participate. There will be absolutely no exceptions.
Rehearsal is Friday, May 1. Times to be announced in class at a later date.
Recital Costume Fees:
Child X-Small - Child Large $48
Child XL - Adult XXL $68
Please refer to measuring directions on the order form when choosing costume sizes. Parents are responsible for making
sure their child has the correct size costume. See page 35 for costume order form. Order forms must be turned in to
the Park District by 4:30p on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
The recital will be held at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, and tickets will be required for the performance. Tickets will
be sold at the Rialto box office at a date to be announced (check www.plfdparks.org for updated information). Tickets will
cost $10. If tickets are still available on recital day, they may be purchased at the door. Tickets cannot be purchased on
rehearsal day as the Rialto box office will be closed. For ticket purchases and seating questions, please call the Rialto
at (815) 726-6600.
Please note that we have non-recital dance classes (see on page 34). Keep in mind that if you have siblings or a
child that are in more than one dance class, it is not guaranteed that he or she will be performing in the same show
(note, that there are two shows that perform on recital day!) All dancers will remain backstage for the entire recital.
No child will be released until the end of the recital. Handouts from your instructor will be supplied in March with all
information concerning the recital. PLEASE check your calendars before committing.
