TAKEN UP INTO HEAVEN. The feast of the Ascension assures us that the
risen Jesus, who was taken up to heaven, is still very close to us. We are
called to recognize the signs of his presence in the goodness, love and
forgiveness of the community, in the healing of souls and bodies and in
the great and small miracles of life. The ascended Jesus is not an absent
Jesus. The challenge for us is: “How can we be followers of Jesus in our
world today?”

NEW SMOKING LEGISLATION FOR SCHOOL GROUNDS
New smoking laws have been introduced that ban people from
smoking within four meters of school grounds. From 13th April
2015, under the Tobacco Act 1987 smoking is prohibited within
the grounds of, and within four metres of an entrance to all
Victorian childcare centres, Kindergartens, preschools and
schools. On the spot fines of $147 will be issued to those who disobey this new
legislation. All parishioners and visitors to our churches are expected to follow this new
legislation.

TWO DAY POKIES TRIP TO MULWALA — ALBURY—6TH JUNE 2015
Day 1: Depart 7am. Morning tea stop in the Euroa area, continue to the town of
Glenrowan, can visit the Ned Kelly Homestead, own expense, continue to the city of
Wangaratta for lunch stop. Afternoon we travel to Bonegilla, visit the sight of the
Migrant Museum and the Hume Dam before we check in to our motel in Albury. Freshen
up time then visit the SS & A Club for a 4 hour stay including dinner.
Day 2: after breakfast travel ato beautiful Yarrawonga, some free time in town centre
before we visit Club Mulwala for a 3 hour stay including lunch. Afternoon travel to
Nagambie for an afternoon tea stop and arrive home early evening. Cost per person Twin
