Living the Paschal Mystery
Prayer
When we do take up the cross and die,
by laying down our lives in service, we
are able to see that the cross is the
means of glory – for the Father, for
Jesus and for us.
Repeat this prayer often this week:
Lord, may I die to myself in Jesus
so that through him I may have new
life.
BAPTISM
We welcome into our faith community James Donohue, Jules Horozidis, Elly Rao,
Isabelle Scott, Katrina Steinschulte, Madeline Taouk, Jared Tan, Isaac Varasso, Zahra
Wilks-Beasy, and Olivia Xuereb. We congratulate them and their families on this happy
occasion.
SR CATHERINE KELLY – RIP
Sr Catherine, who died last week after a short illness, was joint founder of the Brigidine
Asylum Seekers Project. Sister Catherine for the past 13 year would house and
support asylum seeker men just released from detention. No ask was to great;
Catherine would always find a way to help when everyone else had closed their doors.
A woman of great compassion, courage and strength, humble, smart, fearless and love
in motion. Vale Sr Catherine (courtesy of the ASRC)

FAIR TRADE EASTER EGGS
Is your Easter Egg traffic free? Over a third of the cocoa that produces the world’s
chocolate comes from the Cote d’Ivoire. Thousands of boys as young as 10 years
old, are trafficked from countries such as Mali and Burkina Faso to pick and harvest
the cocoa beans. You can stop this abuse. Visit stopthetraffik.org/Australia or
acrath.org.au. Also ensure all your Easter chocolate bears the Fairtrade symbol.
