Celebrating 101 years of soccer in Wisconsin,
the Wisconsin Soccer Association will honor
three from Polonia S.C. at the 33rd Annual Hall of
Fame Banquet. See Hall of Fame P. 2
PULASKI COUNCIL TO
HONOR POLONIA MEMBER
HEDY RABIEGA ON MAY 3RD
Celebrating its 70th Anniversary, the Pulaski
Council of Milwaukee will present the Annual
Polish Heritage Award to Hedy (Jadzia)
Rabiega, longtime Polonia member and
volunteer, at its Annual Polish Constitution Day
Observance to be held on May 3rd, 2015 at
the Polish Center of Wisconsin.
Each year, the Council honors one PolishAmerican from Wisconsin who has made
significant contributions to promote Polish
culture.
Hedy has been very active in Polonia S.C.,
Polish Fest, Polish National Alliance, New Life
Choir & the Polish-American Congress.
Only two other Polonia officers have been
honored in the last 65 years: Henry Matecki
and Tadeusz Cisek.

2014 WSA HALL OF FAME
On April 5th, 2014, the Wisconsin Soccer
Association (WSA) honored three from
Polonia with induction into the Hall of Fame
(HOF): Joe Beskidniak, Ramiro Alvarez,
and Tadek Bista. They join John
Bocwinski, John Joachimczyk, Stanley
Stadler Sr., Henry Wawrzyniak, Andy
Krupa, Stan Szmidt, George Foszpanczyk,
Carlos Alvarez, Emmerich Mueller, Stan
Kaczmarek, Jerry Panek, Richard Kilps,
John Janasik, & Dan Stadler from Polonia.
The WSA HOF also presented a meritorious
service award (posthumously) to Stan
Stadler Jr. Accepting the honor was wife
Karon Stadler, joined by other members of
the Stadler family. (see photos on page 2)

On May 2nd, 2015 Richard Rabiega and
Rodrigo Diez will be inducted into the WSA
HOF, while the Stanley Stadler Sr. Family will
receive the Mike Kabanica Memorial
Recognition Award for their overall contribution
to soccer in Wisconsin. Induction into the WSA
HOF is the greatest honor awarded to those
involved in Wisconsin amateur soccer.
We encourage everyone to attend to show
support for our club’s inductees. It will take
place on Saturday, May 2nd at the American
Serb Hall at 5101 West Oklahoma Avenue in
Milwaukee. 5:30 cash bar, 6:30 dinner. Tickets
$35.00 adults, $15.00 kids. Call Mitch Jovic at

1960’s Polonia Majors Championship Team.
Richard Rabiega, president of the Polonia
Sport Club for the last 7 years, coached /
managed Polonia adult championship teams. He
has served as a licensed youth coach,
tournament director, referee assignor, referee,
league commissioner, and on State Referee
Committee.

2015 marks Polonia Sport Club’s 65th Anniversary.
Plans are being made to top the year off with a
party to remember. Get your dancing shoes
shined up for Saturday, October 17th.
29 Annual Polish/American Tournament
returns to Milwaukee August 29-30, 2015, with a
twist. AAC Eagles Chicago, celebrating their 75th
Anniversary, will host the tournament, while
Polonia will profit from bar and food.

Polonia Majors and Reserve Adult Teams,
sponsored by Altius Gymnastics of Franklin
continue their fight to gain a foothold in the WSL’s
premier division, thanks to manager Maciej
Miaskowski and coach Arek Miaskowski. Every
game is a new challenge. Two clubs, Azteca and
Upper 90, found the promotion too much to
handle.
