Annual Parent Survey
A message regarding the Norwalk Public Schools’ annual
parent survey was sent to all Norwalk Public School parents
registered in Power School earlier this week. Parents are
invited to complete an anonymous online survey about their
children’s experiences in the Norwalk Public Schools. Parents
should receive one link for each school where their children
are enrolled. The survey is to be completed by Friday, April
17. If you would like to complete a survey and did not receive
this email, please go to the following site:

Upcoming All School Meetings
Friday, April 10, 1:30 pm: Staff vs. Fifth Grade Basketball
Game, an annual favorite! Tip-off time is 1:30 pm.
Friday, April 24, 9:30 am: Our program features the
Kindergarten Concert and Showcase. All kindergarten
students who turned in blue permission slips for the
showcase will audition on Thursday, April 9.
Friday, May 1, 9:30 am: Third Grade Connections Share.

Jazzed for CMS!!
Our annual Spring Auction is just around the corner on
Saturday, April 25. Invitations were sent home earlier this
week and RSVPs are needed by April 10. If you didn’t receive
an invitation or have questions, please contact Meghan
Hopkins [email protected]. We hope you will join us for
this fun night out with CMS parents, friends and staff!
Look for information on class projects and baskets coming
home soon.
CMS Yearbooks are now on sale!
Coffee Pond, our fantastic picture day and yearbook company
offers both online and mail-in options for yearbook orders!
Pick your ordering option based on your preferred payment
method. The price for each book is $22. All the details and
costs are stated online. Please refer to the attached flyer for
details. Deadline for orders is Friday, April 10. Attention Fifth
Grade Parents: The PTA generously gives each fifth grade
student a free yearbook.
Sweetheart Dance Update
The Sweetheart Dance photographs have been distributed. If
anyone did not receive all of their photos or is missing their
photos, email Olga Zargos-Traub at [email protected].
Play 60 is here!
Volunteers Needed
CMS will be participating in the NFL-sponsored “Play 60”
initiative. This effort encourages children of all ages to
exercise for 60 minutes a day in order to maintain and
develop a healthy lifestyle. At CMS, we will participate during
the month of April, and Mr. Smith is personally challenging all
students to exercise for 60 minutes every day from
Wednesday, April 1 through Thursday, April 30. Children must
record their exercises and return their log to Mr. Smith by
Wednesday, May 6. All students who complete their logs and
return them to Mr. Smith will be invited to take part in an
after-school obstacle course on Tuesday, May 12. Mr. Smith is
sending home exercise logs once he receives students’
registrations.
Miss Jackie in the art room is looking for volunteers the week
of April 27 to hang students’ artwork. The CMS Art Show will
be Thursday, May 21, the same night as the Spring Concert.

3rd Annual Community Spelling Bee
Thursday, April 9, 6:30 pm at Norwalk City Hall, 125 East
Avenue. Adults and high school students are encouraged to
enter. A team or hive must consist of three people. Entry fee
is $150. BEE a part of the fun! All proceeds benefit the
Norwalk Education Foundation and Norwalk Early Childhood
