OVERNIGHT CAMPING RULES AND REGULATIONS
Established 3-2015
1. Overnight camping shall be permitted only in certain areas of the property.
2. Juniata County Agricultural Society (JCAS) has overnight camping in three locations of the property.
LOCATION 1 – UPPER END OF THE GROUNDS (Inside the fenced area):
a) No water and sewer service is available but parts of this location have electrical hook-ups
available.
b) The rate is $20.00 per night for each spot (with or without electric). PAYMENT DUE IN
ADVANCE!
c) No camper/RV parking or camping is permitted in this location until the day before the
event/race.
d) All camping on the upper end of the grounds must be off the property by 12:00 p.m. on the
day after the event/race.
LOCATION 2 – LOWER END OF THE GROUNDS (Inside the fenced area):
a) Full water, sewer and electric hook-ups available.
b) The rates are $40.00 per night or $500.00 per month. PAYMENT DUE IN ADVANCE!
c) This location requires the camper to be responsible for mowing of the grass while being
occupied to a height no greater than 4”.
d) These long term camping spots are not available to rent one full week before Labor Day
through one full week after Labor Day due to the Juniata County Fair event.
LOCATION 3 – UPPER LOT OUTSIDE THE FENCED AREA/FIELD:
a) NO water, sewer and electrical sewer service is available.
b) The rate is free per night with the exception of one full week before Labor Day through one
full week after Labor Day due to the Juniata County Fair event. There is a fee for camping.
c) All camping must be off the property by 12:00 p.m. on the day after the event/race.
3. No overnight camping is permitted on any other portions of JCAS property without permission and
then must also comply with these rules and any other rules applied at that time for an additional
location.
4. All camp fires must be contained within a maximum 24” metal ring with a minimum height of 6”. All
fires to be supervised at all times. All fires to be extinguished upon vacating the camping spot.
5. NO LOUD MUSIC or boisterous behavior during or after the event/race. QUIET TIME is 12:00
midnight.
6. MOTORIZED CARTS/SCOOTERS & 4-WHEELERS: All 4-wheelers, motorized golf carts, scooters and
handicapped scooters/vehicles, may be used in the camping areas. Kids are not permitted to operate
any of the above units. All must be maintained to a safe operating speed not to exceed 10 mph. All the
above units WILL NOT access the road that runs directly behind the main grandstand. An alternate route
will be used.
a) During the Juniata County Fair, no 4-wheelers, motorized golf carts, scooters or handicapped
scooters/vehicles will be allowed on the grounds, except those being used by JCAS Fair Board
Members.
7. All trash and waste to be removed by campers. Positively no waste dumping on JCAS property.
VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED!
8. Possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages are subject to the Laws of Pennsylvania. Under no
circumstances are any alcoholic beverages to be left behind on the grounds. No alcohol is to be served
to anyone under the age of 21.
9. JCAS management reserves the right to limit space taken by any and all campers. This will be strictly
enforced in all locations.
10. JCAS reserves the right to refuse entrance to any camper.
11. JCAS assumes no responsibility for damage, theft or loss of any kind, to any and all property of
campers.
12. Dogs are welcome in the camping area but they must be on a leash at all times and you are
responsible for cleaning-up after them.
13. No firearms are permitted on the grounds.
Juniata County Ag. Society Management hopes that all camping guests have a safe and enjoyable
experience. Thank you for your cooperation
