Placement Coordinator
Reporting to
Site Manager
Overall Purpose
To support unemployed clients through barrier identification and resolution
to enable the client to enter the employment market. To assess, coordinate
and meet the needs of the client in respect to their work placement needs
and aspirations. This will include liaison with employers, partners and
community organisations to develop and secure sustainable opportunities
for clients and to ensure high levels of customer service are maintained
through follow up contact with all relevant parties
Scope of role
To seek to identify areas for continuous improvement through creativity and
flexibility
Key Tasks
 To manage a caseload on a one to one and group basis
 To utilise a variety of means to facilitate improved employability
 To identify and coordinate a range of recruitment and selection strategies
to secure employment/placement opportunities for our clients
 To support unemployed clients in job search, job matching and
sustainability of employment to include delivery of one to one and group
training sessions
 To identify and develop occupationally specific placement opportunities
with external organisations
 To be a source of expert advice regarding employer and vacancy
expectations
 To promote PPDG and its portfolio of services to potential placement
providers, referral agencies and other stakeholders
 To promote the benefits of work placements to the employer community,
internal and external stakeholders through marketing activities
 To ensure regular liaison with team members to ascertain client needs
and aspirations are met in regard to placement opportunities
 To plan and agree the implementation of training needs/activities with
employers, where required
 To maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
 To monitor and carry out regular reviews of placements to ensure they
are meeting clients’ progress and adhere to Health and Safety and Equal
Opportunities requirements and obligations
 To accurately maintain relevant IT systems and produce accurate and
timely management information
 To adhere to quality processes and procedures
 To liaise closely with all relevant parties to ensure service levels are
maintained
 To monitor own progress towards business and individual objectives
