PME School staffing: PMES is a K­8 dual track school. 170 students, 9.5 teaching staff, resource,guidance,reading recovery, 1.5 custodian, full­time admin.asst. and librarian, 6.5 educational assistants. STRENGTHS ● Students have embraced the recent reconfiguration of 2 schools and are working to create a culture of respect and caring. ● Energetic, professional staff who are committed to student learning ● Professional Development: CPS Behavior team (collaborative proactive solutions), Reading Apprenticeship team (collaborating with PMHS and Ste.Marie K­8 school), Math Lesson Study (collaborating with Manitou and St.Claude K­6 staff) ● French Revitalization Grant, Artist in the School Grant, Warrior Wave Newsletter ● Support staff have a keen interest in students and assist with extra­curricular activities. ● Variety of student programs: extra­curricular sports, intramurals, cultural activities, student council, yearbook, milk­program. ● Supportive and active ACSL group. ● Physical Building: large playground, baseball diamonds, track, hard court, plays structures, gym, computer room, library, classrooms. ● PME offers a successful 50/50 Francais/English as well as a 100 % English programs for students In general, the roles of the principal and vice­principal can be divided into four areas of responsibility.
